Data Security & Privacy Enhancements
As part of Workgrid's ongoing commitment to our customers' data security and privacy, we have improved the separation of duties between roles in our no-code app builder, Workshop.
The Workshop Admin is now known as Workshop Manager. This role will have visibility into all apps created and installed but will no longer have "write" or "edit" access to any apps.
The Workshop App Author is now known as the Workshop App Owner. This role can install templates or build apps from scratch. They can only see and edit their own apps. Now these apps can be shared with other app owners.
Trigger Features
Builders can now trigger features within an app feature! The new "feature trigger" can empower the builder to have the actions in one feature trigger the actions of another feature.
For example, the Content Genie App uses this capability to trigger a notification send with the content results (action two) after the user submits the prompt in the Genie (action one).
Quick Links Enhancement
Quick Links edit mode has been updated in Microsoft Teams to a multi-select option, reducing scrolling time when using the app.
Audience Targeting
Audience targeting your notifications just got easier! You can now choose "Add Everyone" for targeting in one click. Users can also select "Add Me" which is a helpful option for sending and testing a notification to yourself.
Additionally, builders can now choose "Lists of Emails" to more efficiently target notifications. This new audience targeting option replaces the need for processing-heavy app workflows that loop through a data source event in order to get multiple email addresses.
It's also a useful tool for when users may need to target multiple individuals who are not part of a targetable profile attribute (such as Department or Office).
Workshop Improvement
To help users better keep track of template versioning, we've improved Workshop so that users can now see which app template version is currently installed. Just open the installed app from the main Workshop menu!
Playground Improvement
The Playground allows users to test apps within the Workgrid Console. With the latest improvement, you can now add an image URL to the backdrop of the Playground to better emulate your intranet/host page experience. No image? No problem, you can choose the built-in example or use the client as-is.
