What is the difference between Agentic and Traditional AI?
Traditional AI is characterized by its ability to analyze data and provide insights. However, it is limited in its functionality due to the static nature of the knowledge it possesses. These AI models can only access the information they were trained on and require manual retraining to adapt to changes.
In contrast, Agentic AI operates autonomously and continuously improves itself while also seeking human guidance when necessary. AI Agents, using techniques like retrieval augmented generation (RAG), can access real-time information and interact with other systems. This enables them to query additional sources such as structured documents, vector databases, or APIs.
